Dr. Senthilkumari has received her Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (B. Pharm) from the TN Dr. M. G. R. Medical University, Chennai in 1999 and her Master degree (M. Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi in 2001. She has received her Ph.D. in Ocular Pharmacology from Dr. Rajendra Prasad Center for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 2008. She has joined Aravind Medical Research Foundation in August 2008.

Dr. Kumari’s research interest is on understanding the molecular mechanism(s) involved in the pathogenesis and identifying drug targets for the “silent-sight killer – the Glaucoma especially POAG and steroid-induced glaucoma”.
