ARVO-India-IERG annual meeting is a major forum for cutting edge eye research across the country and provides a platform for interactions among basic researchers, clinicians and industry. The 29th annual meeting with the theme “Innovations in Eye Health: Technology to Translation” will have special orations, invited talks, free papers – oral and poster presentations. A special symposium for one day is organised prior to the annual meeting covering the recent advances in translational eye research. We look forward to seeing you for both the symposium and IERG meeting to get full benefits of the three day event. Following are the major themes that will be covered by experts in the field: (1) Exosomes in Eye Health and Disease (2) Gene Editing /Cell Therapy for Retinal Diseases (3) Genetic Diagnosis and Therapy for Inherited Eye Diseases (4) Novel Approaches for Treatment of Corneal Infections

About the symposium

Eye health is an integral part of overall health and wellbeing. For a healthy aging, it is necessary to find new ways to improve sight of aged people and enable them to maintain their vision for as long as possible. Early diagnosis of the disease and newer treatments are the key for reducing the burden of visual impairment. Ocular biology has witnessed many innovations that has transformed the health care and influenced the multiple fields of medicine. This symposium will bring the healthcare and research professionals in eye health together to discuss the current topics in translational research.
